Say Hello to the Second Guy Ever on the Style Sesh

Meet Evan Martino, a recent graduate of Montclair State University.  His future plans include being a talent or a sports agent, but for right now his plans include dressing great and looking the part of a professional.

In the first picture you really get to see the color combination of his blue and white pinstripe Oxford and the gold, paisley patter of his tie.

In the second picture, we get a shot of the whole suit combination.  The gray tone of the suit really makes the shirt underneath pop and the contrast between the gray suit, blue shirt, and gold tie really bring everything together.

This is one well-dressed guy!

Google enters into the Fashion World

For those who love Google.com, get ready for the newest edition in the Google franchise.  Google launched Boutiques.com today (November 17th) which aims to create a new way to browse and shop for clothes and accessories online.

Google released a statement saying:

“Boutiques.com is a personalized shopping experience that lets you find and discover fashion goods, by creating your own        curated boutique or through a collection of boutiques curated by taste-makers—celebrities, stylists, designers and fashion bloggers. Boutiques uses computer vision and machine learning technology to visually analyze your taste and match it to items you would like”.

This is such a great idea for people who have a hard time shopping online.  This seems like the really easy way to go!

Everyone’s a Designer

Miley Cyrus was in Derby, England today (Tuesday) to be the latest starlet to debut her clothing line titled “George at Asda”.  Cyrus debuted her line at Asda, a supermarket chain in Derby.  This is in continuation of the line that she already carries at Walmart.

Pick of Today: Julianne Moore

I saw this picture while on People.com and it literally stopped me in my tracks.  This is the most beautiful I have ever seen Julianne Moore look.  She was in Rome promoting her movie “The Kids Are Alright”.  The color of the dress is simply exquisite.  Her body looks amazing in the dress and you can tell that she knows it and feels gorgeous.  Just look at that smile on her face!  Her make up is perfect for her face.  Some faces cannot handle that kind of dark make up but she certainly can.  She accessorizes the dress with a simple clutch and a wrap around bracelet.  It was a very wise choice to go without a necklace or earrings because the neckline and one shoulder idea of the dress really show off her collarbone and her neck.  Adding a necklace and earrings would have detracted from how beautiful the dress is and how beautiful she looks in the dress.

Who wore it better?

Here we have a classic case of two celebrities caught wearing the same outfit.  So the question remains: who wore it better?

We have Katharine McPhee (American Idol contestant) on the left who chose to take a very simple approach to this dress by keeping her hair strait and not adding too many accessories.  She really jazzes it up with the shoes though.

Then we have January Jones (Mad Men) who opted to pair the dress with some adorable tights in a contrasting, but not clashing, blue.

What College Kids are Wearing: The Interview

As I previously mentioned, this interview was supposed to be with Brianna Van der Horn but unfortunately she was unavailable.  So I went back out into the world to find her replacement and I stumbled upon this little trendsetter.  Meet Christina Lupo.  She is a junior here at Rowan University and she is an education major.  She likes listening to music, including her favorite band, Brand New, and spending time with her friends.  Here is what she has to say about personal style:

What’s Ahead: What College Kids are Wearing Day 2

In an upcoming post there will be an interview with another student at Rowan University who has a completely different style than my previous interviewed student Brittany Wehner.

Her name is Brianna Van der Horn and, I don’t want to spoil the interview, but here is a sneak peek at Brianna.  She is an RTF (radio, television and film) major at Rowan University and she is involved with things such as Rowan Television Network, the Cinema Workshop, intramural flag football, and likes to participate in Rowan After Hours and other school activities.

Stay tuned the interview will be up by Wednesday!
