Coldplay, Muse to play Opening Ceremonies

The bands Coldplay and Muse have been chosen to play at the Opening Ceremonies at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.  Both bands are very used to playing to large, sold out crowds and rocking it.

The 2008 Beijing Opening Ceremonies were by far the best ceremonies in the past decade.  Hopefully London will compare.

Phelps places 2nd

Michael Phelps placed second in the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle on Sunday in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Those are events that Phelps usually dominates.

After his loss, Phelps said,

“I hate losing, no matter what event, no matter how out of shape, tired, broken down – you can say whatever you want. . .I don’t care. I hate it.”

He won three events in the three-day meet after taking five events last month.

He lost out to Ous Mellouli, who Phelps said he “didn’t see coming in the final 15 meters.”

Phelps is currently training for the 2012 London Olympics, which may be his last.
